BULLYING CASES
According to the National Center for Education Statistics and Bureau of Justice Statistics, about 1 in 4 students in the United States have been bullied. Young people perceived as different from their peers are more likely to be bullied than others who are not.
Earlier this year the United States Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights (OCR) published new guidelines on bullying students with disabilities. The OCR explains, "the bullying of a student with a disability on any basis can result in a denial of FAPE under IDEA that must be remedied."
At the Law Offices of Irina Roller, we are committed to creating and maintaining a safe classroom and school environment for all students. We are always ready to ensure that your child's right to a FAPE is secure.
